Words & Music: Bobby Shiflett

I don’t understand why it takes so long
Got to kill to be strong
Just to feel that I belong
Take a bow, hit a bong
Still unknown and all alone
Can’t be scared

She’s the image of my wife
I think I’ve known her all my life
On the screen of my TV
I believe she’s looking for me.
I believe, I’ll let her be.
Because I’m scared

Autumn is turning cold and the moon lights my way
The gods are growing old as the wind steals the day
At the end of an age
We will fill the world with rage
At the end of an age

I am dancing on a spring
By a thread, I will hang
A little more TV should do the trick
Because they spread it so sweet and thick
But their poison will make you sick
Now, I’m scared.
