Hot Alice

Words and Music: Bobby Shiflett

My television sees her clearly
Magic woman spell my name
And suddenly I find I’ve left my body
For her domain on the astral plane
She’s some kind of real fire dancer
She’s so hot she could melt the sun
A real, long lasting, true-blue romancer
She leaves me dead when she’s finally done

When she tempts me with fruits of forbidden knowledge
I’m so sure to follow by her hand
We’ll spend our days in her garden of Eden
Never knowing what it is we just don;t understand

Alice makes me forget I am troubled
Alice makes me forget that I’m out of my head
On clear nights we fly, usually to Venus
She flies me away from my lonely bed

When she tempts me with fruits of forbidden knowledge
I’m so sure to follow by her hand
We’ll spend our days in her garden of Eden
Never knowing what it is we just don;t understand

In my mind, most of the time, a fantasy plays
Would Alice be a miracle if I could make her stay
In my mind she’s so kind and makes it all make sense
And she does make a difference.

My television sees her clearly
My radio hears her too well
And when I find her sleeping next to me
I’ll finally know that she is very real

When she tempts me with fruits of forbidden knowledge
I’m so sure to follow by her hand
We’ll spend our days in her garden of Eden
Never knowing what it is we just don;t understand
